    STIHL Easy2Start™ (E)
The STIHL Easy2Start™ system makes starting STIHL outdoor power tools almost effortless, eliminating the need for a strong pull of the starting cord. This advanced starting system is designed to make starting STIHL products easier. The specific system may vary by model, but in each case, a quick pull overcomes the engine’s compression to minimize the strength and effort required to start. Available on selected products.

    IntelliCarb™ Compensating Carburetor
The IntelliCarb™ Compensating Carburetor is designed to automatically adjust the air/fuel ratio when the air filter becomes restricted or partially clogged and maintains the engine’s correct RPM. IntelliCarb™ uses air from the clean side of the air filter to control the diaphragm and flow of fuel. As the air filter becomes dirty and less air is available for the carburetor, the IntelliCarb™ system adjusts the fuel flow to compensate for the decrease in air flow. This is in contrast to typical carburetors that utilize this air from the “dirty” side of the air box.

    Quick Chain Adjuster (QCA) (B)
The Quick Chain Adjuster (QCA) (B) allows the user to adjust the tension of the chain without the use of tools. This allows for easy chain adjustment.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Saw Actually took this saw back to the dealer day 1. It just cut off in mid cut and wouldn't restart. The tech was tied up, so a couple of the sales guys took a look at it and couldn't get it to start either. After some discussion with the lady in the office who said I would have to leave it, it was decided that they had another in stock and were just going to swap with me. (Kudos to the dealer's staff.) Just before they did that, the senior sales guy wanted to try it. He carried it back, pulled and pulled until it started. let it run a minute or two and started and shut it off several times. Brought it back to me and I did the same. Apparently it had just flooded. At any rate I have learned how to start it cold, hot, or in between. There is going to be a learning curve with any new power tool. Except for the one little hiccup, has lived up to all the claims by the manufacturer when using it for what is intended for.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from There is some kind of defect in a batch of these saws So I have owned this saw for 3 years. Or more accurately I am on my second saw in 3 years. Have had numerous carb rebuilds and new carbs ect. The problem is the brass plate that ( I believe) controls the air in the carb has issues and it will lose the ability to close on it's own making it super hard to start and then it won't idle it's either full gas or shut off. Last year I talked with tech support because it was out of warranty they told me to spray WD40 into the sides of the plate to help it so it doesn't stick open. That worked for a couple hours of work. Then I bring it out this year and same problem but now WD 40 dose not work. Thankfully stihl is a stand up company and is trying to fix it again at their own cost (which is what they should do) but the shop they had me bring it to is different than the original ( since they could never fix it). And since that shop doesn't see me as a client or they really are that busy they won't look at my saw for 3 weeks. If you get one from a different batch without this defect it should be a great saw if it runs it works well but in all honesty never had a single problem with my farm boss so if you don't mind so extra weight go to that saw.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It is what it is... Got this saw for Christmas after buying a new 2.5 acre wooded property. I had used my Dads chainsaw as a kid (under his supervision - 25 year old Stihl 026), but this was MY first chainsaw. After using it a few times for some general cleanup around my property, I was convinced I needed more power. As circumstance would have it, a friend of my was selling a 60cc saw of a different brand. That saw is an absolute beast and fun to use...for very short periods of time! I find myself using my 211-c whenever possible, because it is comfortable to run all day long and causes much less fatigue! I did put a 16” bar on it (instead of the 18” it came with) which is much easier for this size saw to manage. Pros-easy start recoil system, weight, descent power, quick chain tension adjust, AV system, translucent fuel tank, maneuverable and manageable, meets 75% of my needsCons-ran it one time on a pretty warm day (yes the shutter was set for warm weather). Shut it off to refuel and was difficult to restart...and by difficult I mean it took about 8-10 pulls...and then fired up and ran like a champ again.Bottom line...this is a great light duty homeowner saw. I have only had it for 7 months, but I have used it HARD and it hasn’t let me down. Be realistic about what you are buying. It’s a 35cc saw! I love it and like I said...it meets my needs 75% of the time on a fully wooded 2.5 acre property.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Should have bought a Stihl years ago After fighting with box store saws for far too many years, I finally purchased a Stihl 211 C-BE. The easy start feature is a shoulder saver. Add to that the good power to weight ratio, low vibration, and balance and it is a winner.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This saw is terrific and worth the money. Just got this saw today and put it to use cutting down a small tree and cutting some limbs up for firewood. It even starts when pulling it with my left hand, and I'm right-handed! Carrying it through some brush wasn't a problem either as it isn't heavy. I'm glad I spent a little more money for the easy start feature. I am pleased.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to pull the start Lightweight, overall excellent quality. Worth spending the extra money over a lesser quality brand chainsaw.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Love Stihl Chain Saws. Hate this one! Even though we have owned 2 Stihl chain saws prior to purchasing the MS 211 C-BE and have been extremely happy, this one is a lemon! It won't cut efficiently in that you have to continue pulling back to get through a 4-inch log. Once you pull back, the saw frequently dies and you have to wait at least 30 minutes to restart. Holding the saw sideways also causes the saw to stop. The saw is frustrating when trying to get work done in a timely manner .We have taken the saw back twice. The first time the carburetor was adjusted, but upon getting it home, the saw continued to have the problem. The last time, the service center could not replicate the problem. I WANT MY MONEY BACK!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Impressive saw Bought this saw as a smaller backup to a larger saw, for smaller jobs, de-limbing, and for carrying into thick woods where a larger/heavier saw is cumbersome. I was impressed by its capability and the engineering that went into this product. I highly recommend the Eazy2Start system with the primer bulb. It is by far the easiest saw I've seen to start. Requires almost no effort at all, and fires right up. Grandma could start this saw. Despite the smaller engine size, the power and cutting ability was surprising. The saw operates well as a complete system, meaning that although the engine is smaller, a well designed bar and chain overcome any lack of raw power. It doesn't seem that it would have any issue with cuts up to its 18" rating. Although I bought this as a secondary saw for smaller cuts (14" and smaller), I may end up using it as a primary saw. The suspension system, controls, caps, etc. work great as well. So far, no leaks. My only concern about using this saw for heavier work over time is durability. I haven't had any problems, but I found the control switch isn't very robust, and the saw overall has a lot of plastic where my larger unit is metal (engine case, handle, etc.). This is typical of this segment, though, and reduces weight significantly. If you need a hard use saw, you probably want to look at the farm/ranch or pro saws. The primary reason I chose Stihl over competing brands is that they seem to have a better handle on initial quality relative to competition. I've read too many comments on competing sites complaining of issues out of the box. I have to say, I wasn't disappointed with the Stihl. It was perfect right off the shelf, and the salesman started it up and ran it for a bit to show it worked before I bought it. If you buy another brand at the box stores, there's a good chance it'll go right back into the box for return. Overall, I'm very impressed.
